R. Kelly spent the weekend in a Cook County jail cell

R&B singer and alleged golden shower lover R. Kelly had to spend the weekend sleeping in a Cook County jail cell.

According to the folks over there at the Chicago Sun-Times, R. Kelly doesn’t have the money to post the 10% of the $1,000,000 bond needed in order to get himself out of jail.

He would’ve been free on bond if he had a credit card, check, or cash. But let Kelly tell it, he’s broke because the “Honey Love,” “Bump ‘n’ Grind,” “Sex Me,” “Ignition,” and “Trapped in the Closet” songs ain’t helping him to make it through.

In fact, he’s been crying po’ mouth ever since he was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse against four women, three of which are underage.

In the state of Illinois, 17 is the age of consent and three of the alleged victims are under the age of 17. So yeah, Kelly is in trouble, trouble, trouble.

And Kelly ain’t just in trouble because of these charges, he’s in trouble because he has an alleged history, dating all the way back to the nineties, to liking young girls just a little too much.

I remember folks talking about how they would see the grown men in Kelly’s entourage trying to talk to grown women, while Kelly was trying to holla’ at the young girls who had acne on their faces and rainbow color rubber bands in their hairs.

Then there’s that 2002 case where Kelly was charged with a similar crime. He had enough money back then to pay some top notch lawyers to keep the case off the books for six years, which helped Kelly to beat the rap in 2008.

Plus, the alleged victim in that case did not testify and the jurors claimed they couldn’t tell if it was R. Kelly or not. Yet, everybody on the street corner knew it was R. Kelly. So yeah, go figure.

Fast forward 11 years later, 2019, and Kelly can’t bail himself out of jail. He doesn’t have $100,000 in cash. He can’t write a $100,000 check. And he doesn’t have one of those black platinum cards that he can use to pay for the $100,000 bond. At least, that’s what he is telling everybody.

Either way, things are different now. The young women are willing to testify. The nasty tape is clear and everybody, including CNN’s Sarah Sidner, who saw the tape say that it is indeed R. Kelly engaging in alleged sexual abuse of a child.
